Despite everything that happened this year, 2022 was another good art year.

This marks the third year of my obsession with my elf character and there's no end in sight.

At the beginning of the year, I got into gradient maps, which I finally understood by April, did one piece with how it's intended to be used and them immediately dropped it, hah! I also finished my Fakemon-Dex in May after more than six years, so that's one big personal goal done. I tried getting the hang of HACCAN's beautiful art style afterwards, failed miserably, however that got me back into over painting. I redrew a piece that had been on my mind for years. Surprisingly lots of Pokémon art, too.

Right now, I'm really happy with my recent art, focusing more on scenic depiction of characters rather than just simple, boring portraits. I learned a lot this year, despite the limited time I have because of work.

As for 2023, I will set my yearly minimum goal of getting done at least one bigger drawing per month. Additionally I'd like to get into more background drawing and do a lot of character ref sheets, but we'll see about that.
