So for MationIsle Crossovers, my crossover series, when drawing the Equestria Girls for it, I decided to give them new attires that were more simple looking compared to their more complex, detailed looking dresses in the show. While not bad, I feel like the official designs (most of them) of the girls over the years looked a bit too doll-like, so I thought it would be fun to give my own interpretation of how the Mane Six would look like as humans. A long time ago I teased that I wanted to make redesigns for the characters so that they look more simplistic and like in the style of Friendship is Magic after seeing an animatic of one of the music videos. While I like the original Equestria Girls style, I kind of prefer the style that the animatic uses, since it's so much more expressive and WAY easier to draw. So I thought I would try to recreate my Equestria Girls redesigns in this style, along with making other changes (such as changing the skin color of them, which fun fact, I based off of random images of their respective voice actors I found on Google, and giving them unique head shapes. And I gotta say, I really like how these turned out. Now comes the part where I ramble about the process of each of these guys and compare them to my old designs above, so let's start with:

Twilight Sparkle: Twilight is probably the most similar to my old Twilight design: a school uniform composed of a purple sweater vest (where her cutie mark is) with a white collared undershirt, a magenta bow tie, purple skirt (albeit without the sparkles), white and purple striped socks, and dark purple Mary Jane-styled shoes (the original wore Converse-styled sneakers, but that was changed to something more fitting to Twilight's persona and since Pinkie Pie already wears them). She still wears the same glasses too. The only big change I made was the hairstyle. Originally, I wanted to give her the ponytail like she did in the original show, but this was changed to something more similar to pony counterpart's for consistency.

Pinkie Pie: The second character I got a redesign done for was Pinkie Pie, and is very similar to her beta design. Pinkie Pie is given a very casual, juvenile outfit to fit with her child-like, bubbly personality. She wears a pink T-shirt where her cutie mark is located, a fanny pack where she's able to materialize any object out of (a very Pinkie Pie thing to do, and it's heart-shaped because it's cute), dark pink short jeans, different colored socks (one yellow and one blue), and pink Converse-styled sneakers. Her hair size was cut down significantly to fit more with her pony counterpart. Pinkie design's probably my favorite of the bunch.

Fluttershy: Fluttershy wears a simple, quiet attire. She wears a yellow shoulder-less sweater with her cutie mark, green ankle-length leggings, and pink lace-up platform sandals with a butterfly button on it. Not much to say about this design other than that I think it suits Fluttershy's quiet, timid, and soft character very well, plus I think the sandals give her a very hippie-like feel. Her beta design was about the same, only with pink leggings and a green sweater with a leaf pattern on it instead.

Rainbow Dash: Rainbow Dash wears a very sporty suit. Her blue jacket and t-shirt is the same one as her current EG design (albiet slightly longer and without yellow stripes). Her black leggings were shortened to black legging shorts (and with reduced rainbow lighting patterns) and now she wears blue Adidas-styled workout sneakers. Little changed about Rainbow Dash compared to my old beta design. Her hair is shortened to be similar to her counterpart. Not much to say about her.

Applejack: Applejack is probably the easiest character to give a new design for. She wears a simple country-styled cowgirl outfit, with an orange button-down shirt with her cute mark, a belt with an apple pin, skinny jeans, and cowgirl boots, similar to hers from her official EG design. Her hairstyle is similar to her official design too. Her original design had a more plaid design for the shirt, but that was removed to just being orange to make her easier to work with. Also, not sure if you noticed, but I gave her a more square-ish chin to fit with her strength (both in physical and personality). And of course, I had to give her her freckles and signature hat. A second favorite for me.

Rarity: The last character to design, and the hardest for me to get right. Rarity wears a uniform similar to fashion designers, because you know... that's her job and hobby. Rarity wears a white coat with a light blue shirt underneath, a purple belt, a long white skirt for where her cutie mark is, and purple high heels (the same ones from her current official design). Finish Rarity's dress was the easiest part... the hard part was her hair. Rarity (the unicorn) has a very swirly and complex shaped mane, which made it hard to translate onto a human's head. Ironic how it's Rarity the one who I spend the most time designing.
