I think Tara and Rugtla's relationship definitely deserves more highlights. Including a few facts about how they came to this point.

- During the days Tara wanted to fit the mold of a normal schoolgirl, she had always thought one step to doing so was to crush on the popular guys at school, including sports jocks. Except as far back as middle school, she felt more attraction towards other girls.

- When Tara confessed to Rugtla, and nearly scared herself to half-death doing it, she was pretty shocked to see herself received with open arms. And knowing Rugtla's first thought was flattery that Tara adored her so deeply, after all the time they've spent as friends.

- There is no ambiguity in their relationship. After Tara's confession, they are unquestionably attracted and happy with each other. Complete with hand-holding, hugging, kissing, and cuddling. While still quite young, they're not afraid to admit that much.

- Neither family has ANY problems with this whatsoever. Tara's family is too strange to regard a same-sex relationship with anything but congratulations. And Rugtla's family comes from a non-human culture that does not experience homophobia.

- Rugtla's personality is brave, which results in her being flirtatious, outgoing, and is more experienced with the farm-work that earns them money. However, both of them agree that no, there IS no "Man in the relationship". Nor is there a "butch" or femme".

- Yes...Tara did move in with Rugtla very soon after they confirmed their feelings for each other were reciprocated. U-Haul Syndrome, hahaha. Although Tara had the mind to sign herself up as a farm hand for Rugtla's family, as she didn't want to feel like a freeloader.

- And this pic? Their physical activities aren't sexual. But they ARE intimate. Here, after a long day's work on the farm, they held each other to keep each other warm at night. Just her skin against Rugtla's silky fur. And well...it was one of the happiest moments of her life.
