She's from the great (and under-appreciated) anime series Saber Marionette J, which I love and highly recommend
It's a great series with comedy, drama and a bit of romance too. The animation is quite good too, especially considering the series' age (the original J tv series began in Japan in 1994 I think-- and had real cel animation-- the sequel series were all CGed). Great japanese vocal cast as well (lots of veteran seiyuu).
I have several other pics of Lime in my gallery since she's one of my favorite charas ^^

awesome, i sadly do not know most anime serieses......i am an anime enthusiast but over here there us a minimal of them

That strange pink creature is an animal that's exclusive to the world of Saber Marionette- it's called a Ponta. It seems to be a type of marsupial, since they have a small pouch on the front of their belly. Lime, the girl also pictured, befriends many of these little animals and plays with them in the park ^^
SMJ is a bit older (mid 90s) but i still think it's one of the best series I've watched.
