She might be shy, but she's not very modest! xD;Yeek, it took quite a bit longer than a few days to live up to the teaser pic, sorry
I hope the wait was worth it!!
This lil cutie is going to be my next print girl, tho i'm not sure if I like the background... is it too busy? Please give me feedback on the background and what (if anything) you feel should be changed/altered/adjusted.
I'm also not sure if I'll stick with the green hair. I have 3 different color hair layers saved in photoshop in case I change my mind (the other color options being red and blue). If anyone thinks blue or red would be better, say somethin!

Thanks a lot~ I have sold a few prints of this at some smaller anime cons. I kept the background the same, except for the "shadow" in the back-- it looked kind of weird when it was printed, so now it just has the different overlapping translucent squares for the bg. I went even simpler with the background in the "winter" and "autumn" versions of this same girl, just using snowflakes and maple leaves, respectively.
I still need to make an official summer and spring version, to have all four seasons. I tend to procrastinate too much

Green for spring maybe? Summer I'm thinking hot pink or something bright- light, bright colours. Just a thought.

I think you should definitely develop your elf character more.
I'll tell you the truth, my character "Nyrva" was originally a character I created for a fan fiction back in about '97. I liked her so much that within the next year I began the process of "divorcing" her from the fan fiction she was created in and she got a "fictional universe" of her own. You'd just never know she was ever part of a fan fiction.
I was thinking that with respect to your cat-girl version of Lina because you always say you don't have your own characters - But what if you began to change some things so that she was more original? Just a thought. Just trying to throw you some ideas. 
I borrowed some ideas to create Mychelle- I didn't copy them outright but there were things, concepts I borrowed from for the creation of that character- we all have an influence of some kind. In your case, Slayers seems to be a huge influence. And there is nothing wrong with that. It happens in music all the time! How many rock bands out there say they were influenced by the Beatles or Hendrix or Deep Purple or something?
But yeah, you should definitely do more of this elf girl!

yeah I was planning green for spring... Summer was the biggest question mark for me. I don't like Yellow, and pink would be too similar to the pinky-red I used for Autumn, I think... Maybe orange? I dunno.
I generally just don't make too many OCs, i dunno why. I think I just like coming up with something new, and not having to think about it so much (like having to stick to a premade design/look of a certain character, unless it's fan-art). I generally don't like to write~ I don't think I'm that creative when it comes to writing. I used to write silly stories and stuff back when I was in HS, but when I found and read some of them in recent years... they suck pretty bad, like really bad xD
I think that's another reason I don't want to make OCs, is that they will look just hokey/cheesy. I don't want it to look like he/she came from a certain series/place/source. I also can't stand most fan-made characters "inserted" into series... like all those horrible Sonic-personas that are all over DA.

Green- a good Kelly green should work for spring!
I say a good "hot pink" for summer. That just seems to fit her to me- I don't mean just pink- that "hot bright neon" pink-- that "Miami Vice" pink - the 80s! lol!' I would not mind drawing her like that. She could be jamming a Laura Brannigan song or something? lol! I'm not into pink but on females it fits!
For OCs maybe you could do quirky little fun stories?
I generally don't like fan-fiction OCs either- though one of my own characters started out as one (Nyrva). I developed the character then ended up divorcing her from the fan fic and gave her her own "ficitonal universe" as it were. Except for the rare and occasional flirtation (like my Mychelle fighting Cham Cham for that one pic) I don't do fanfic anymore. I actually have a little fan art in the works. But I try to stick to my own.
I agree- that sonic stuff drives me nuts- I've seen a good pic or two here or there but it gets out of hand. I just generally try to avoid those people though.

thanks~ she does have a little pink on her cheeks, but I'm noticing now that it doesn't show as much as I thought. Back when I colored this I had a different (ie: OLD) monitor, and the colors look a bit lighter now on my new one.
