Name: Phoenix.

Obtained at: Violet City (egg and hatched).

Poké Ball: Poké Ball.

Known attacks: Flamethrower, Hidden Power (Ice), Air Slash, Dragon Pulse, Steel Wing, Shadow Claw, Solar Beam, Dragon Rush, Dragon Claw, Mystical Fire, Aerial Ace, Roost, Return, Fire Punch, Blast Burn.

Appearance: “Garchomp” body type and height (6 foot 3 inches), yellow eyes, bears a scar on his throat from a battle accident.

Personality: Courageous, hardworking, tough, paternal, violent, unwavering, caring, intense.

Other info:

- He was gifted to Alexa (as an egg) by her uncle Harvey on her 8th birthday, hatching that same day. However, he didn’t begin training properly and, therefore, evolve until after Alexa started her journey two years later.

- After Alexa, he is considered to be the “Alpha” of the “pack” by the rest of her Pokémon.

- He was Alexa’s Companion Pokémon from her journey through Johto and until she won the Sinnoh Pokémon League; this was so he could help Alexa train the newly-joined Pokémon, but he also occasionally served as a Ride Pokémon.

- He participated in Alexa’s battle against Cynthia, the whole match immediately getting cancelled after Garchomp accidentally sliced his throat with Dragon Claw. Neither he nor Alexa have any hard feelings against Cynthia or Garchomp over the incident.

- ?? (Major).

So it begins...

As you can see, I've made some changes to Alexa's Starter Pokémon since I drew him last , and he's far from the only one who's undergone a change or two...

Also as you can see, I plopped his bio snippet in for good measure. I still have every intention on posting the full list once it's complete (at the time of this deviation getting posted, I just need about three or for pieces of trivia for everyone), and once it's up, I'll be linking posts like this one to it as and when they're done. I can't guarantee the order I post the individual artwork in; they'll get done when they get done in whatever order I feel like - I just chose Phoenix because it felt a bit fitting to start with the Starter at the very least.

UPDATE #1: I've taken the liberty of adding new moves to his repertoire. I'll update the full list with this new information later (a.k.a. once I've done the same thing to everyone else).
