Description This render was a test of a volumetric scatter shader that margrave on the Daz forums was kind enough to research and share. His findings can be seen in this thread: www.daz3d.com/forums/discussio…

It has a lot of great (and growing) detail on the shader mixer for Iray. This volume shader though is an incredible discovery. Unlike the SSS method, or flat panel textures this is a proper volume. The camera is inside the volume itself (although doesn't need to be, per se). 

I expect to use this again, but wanted to put together a proper scene render test with it. It's not as dramatic as a light through a window or frame, but the beam shows up very nicely I think. There are quite a few settings that can give greater or lesser scatter, as well as color the scatter for interesting effects.
