Description Another Sailor Moon commission piece~ I guess I was lucky this past expo hahaha. This was a blast to work on - I used some old Sailor Jupiter outfit designs that conveniently has a mermaid flair to them.

And I don't think orcas and tropical fish swim together... but I couldn't help myself - the colors just worked out XD!

Wow, this all comes together so well. The colouring is very lovely And it's an interesting concept for the Sailors! I really like the bauble-belt on her side and the interpretation of the scales on her side. Also, Orca looks huggable. :0

~waterdancer and me are rewatching the entire Sailormoon series. I think we're up in the higher 80's finally? Just about to finish the 2nd season.

Thank you That reminds me, I need to finish watching the Sailor Moon series. I got to I think the 4th season? I think it was SuperS, right before Stars. I got distracted with school at the time and was never able to finish. I need to go back and watch it >.>!!!

You're welcome. If it's before Stars, I'm pretty sure it's SuperS. Yes! Go back and finish it and join Terra and I in the facepalming of nostalgia. Because, wow, SM was campy. But it's enjoyable. ^^ I never actually watched the series full out, just read the series. I'm collecting the new series that's been coming out. There is quite a difference lol. Oh, did you know they were remaking a Sailormoon anime?

I noticed they re-released the manga, but I didn't know they were remaking the actual series o_o... I will be most definitely watching out for that!

Yep! Slated to come out in 2013. I hope they do it justice to the manga. Make it a bit less monster of the day and more... I don't know, manga-like. But if they do something else I'm still willing to give it a watch. :3

Haha yes it is a very unique concept, but i worked out I'm just so glad sailor jupiter's older designs fit the mermaid theme

This piece is so well put together -- the colors, shapes ... the textures of her scales, her bow, hair, belt, skin. There's a cluster of different textures that fit together so well!
And the sea life feels so alive!
