at that time of year it never gets dark in Alaska
the sun hides very shallow below the horizon
wich is really helpful - it's easier to see a bear if one's coming at you

Very beautiful. If that shot was taken with a Nikon D70 at 1 a.m. then I can believe that it's that time.

amazing photo! but is that really 1 a.m.? lol seems way to light for 1 a.m. but then again u are up north...
