Description This particular automobile is my dream car which hopefully, in a few years, i'll be driving. The styling is just gorgeous and its one of the best handling cars in the world, which is always fun. My scanner kept cropping the image cutting of the rear and also the roof. I think its because they faded off into the whiteness of the paper and it didn't pick it up. Anyway, i'm pretty happy with it. Spent about 12-14 hours over 3 days. Enjoy.

I'm undecided about what to draw next. I was thinking about it for the last couple of days.

I will draw a Firker Karma S, this car looks fantastic, I love the shapes . But when I'm thinking about my paper I'm not so enthusiastic . I spoke with my cousin from england and he will sent me some good paper( maybe bristol if he finds out).

wow that looks amazing! I think things like cars are really hard to draw, right? I prefer drawing people, I think that's easier! But you made a great job

Thank you very much, I also think that drawing cars is harder than people, but I love to draw cars I guess.

Love the Lotus Elise. It's an awesome little car. I see a few running around here on the freeways, and they always get my attention. Driving those around a road course would be so much fun! I would have a difficult time choosing between this, and a C6 Z06. Decisions, decisions. Of course at this point they're both out of the question. Great drawing, as always. You've got the proportions just right.

Thanks alot. I love these little cars alot, never seen one though unfortunatly. The new Z06 would be pretty awesome because its faster than a Ferrari F430 and a Lamborghini Gallardo, but the elise is more practical and way cheaper too. Alot of reviews for the Z06 say that it sucks to drive on the road because of the road noise and also the really hard suspension. Personally I'd choose the Elise, but a Z06 for weekends would be nice too.

Dyun In reply to Titan360 [2006-08-18 22:50:12 +0000 UTC]

Well, the Z06 was never meant to be a daily driver. It's more of a track car, mainly for the hard-core racers. Stiff suspension and lots of power is a must. It's a sports car! It wouldn't suit Soccer moms for instance. They'd hate driving my car. You can feel every single bump on the road, and getting over curbs is a nightmare. Of course when you can take a sharper turn at 65-70 mph without missing a beat,... .that's when it pays off.
The base C6 is the daily driver. Suspension is a bit softer, and I don't believe the road-noise is too terrible. How can 400 hp NOT be fun?? I'd love to test drive the Elise, see what it's like. The price tag isn't too terrible. If I had the money, I'd definitely add it to the garage.

Indeed, I'm going to buy an Elise some day. Yeah, i've read quite a few reviews saying that on the highway, the Z06 is really really noisy. Oh well, amazing performance though.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dyun In reply to Titan360 [2006-08-18 22:59:42 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. The noise may be due to the fact that they tried to make the car as light as possible. It was meant for pure performance,... like a race car. Never heard of a quiet race car before. As big as it is, it only weights 3150 lbs!!! Couple that with 500 horses (and since Chevy always underrates the horsepower, it's probably more like 550 hp) and you've got a monster.
I hope your wishes comes true. Just keep drawing these cars, I'm sure one day you'll be able to afford one.

I definitely need to spend as much time as you do on your cars Mine only take around 5-6 hours or so to complete...which is most likely why I lack how realistic yours are My proportions are way off too...how do you make yours so perfect?!? This is an extraordinary drawing and you did a damn good job

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Titan360 In reply to krazykohla [2006-08-16 12:44:44 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, this was my best one that I have ever done. I'm not sure how I get the proportions right either, especially when I never do an outline of the whole car. I always start on the left side and work my way right shading and stuff along the way so when I get to the right side, its all done. People tell me I do it the hardest way, but it seems to be easy to me. You just need to see all the different tones and shapes as well as the shapes and propotions of the tones to get it right. I never see a whole car until i'm finished, just little bits and pieces that make up the car. Hope this helps a little, and if not, you can call me crazy.

There's an orange one I see around here in Halifax. I don't even know if you can buy them in Canada? Super tiny, more so that you would think (although it was following an F250). Looks sexy though, especially with the carbon fiber splitter in the rear. I'd rather have one than a Ferrari, and they're cheaper. And probably more servicable with Toyota engines...

Good job.

Titan360 In reply to CRWPitman [2006-08-10 18:32:13 +0000 UTC]

Yeah you can buy them in Canada, there is a dealer in Montreal and Vancouver as well. Halifax is central and eastern Canada's way of getting all the Porsches, Audi's, Lotus, Mini's, BMW, Mercedes, and all the other European cars. I seen a few giant parking lots in Dartmouth of Porsches and Audis and such by the waterfront. My uncle is one of the guys that gets to drive the cars from the containers to their parking lots unitl they're shipped on trucks to the dealers. Never got to see a real Elise yet though... maybe someday I guess.

An incredible drawing!

I almost cant believe its not just a photo been manipulated!

The shading and detail is great, and i can only fault the white patch to the left of the wing-mirror... I think its just a bit too... white. If you catch my drift.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Titan360 In reply to Popher [2006-08-06 02:09:34 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I kind of edit the image a bit cause the scanner makes it grainy, so thats the contrasts fault why its so white on that spot. There is a little bit of pencil shading on that part on the real copy. But anyway, thanks for the comment.
