Description ~The rest of my storyboard project of my TITANIC series.

When the TITANIC struck the iceberg, Eva's mother, who was already awake, woke up her husband and asked him to go to the boat deck to see what had happened. He doubted her concerns, but went up to investigate anyway. He came back shortly with color drained from his face. Without saying one word to each other, they awoke Eva, wrapped a blanket around her, put on their coats, and went straight to the boat decks. They arrived on the Port side of the ship, and were told only Women and children were allowed in. Eva's father bent down and clasped her and her mother's hands together and told Eva, "Hold mommy's hand and be a good little girl." Eva did not have the slightest idea that this would be the last time she would see her father.

(My migraine was pounding in my head so I rushed this one too.)

I remember a scene in James Cameron's Titanic that's sort of like this.

Anytime I think life is hard, I wish Eva will come up to me and kick my ass.

This heartbreaking moment must have played out hundreds of times when crew and passengers alike realized Titanic was doomed. Your picture captures the tragedy of it all.

I think everyone has imagined putting themselves into their shoes and that moment of saying goodbye, or don't worry I'll be along shortly. Very tragic.

And thank you very much, I'm pleased you liked the drawing!

I cannot expres how much I love this image. The facial expressions alone convey enough emotion, but then added with the bleak background and silhouetted figures it's just compounded. I particularly like the view you chose, from down at Eva's level and I actually like how you chose not to include her mother's face, making it just about Eva and her father. Tragic but beautiful.

This is a very intense series-- the simplicity of it actually seems to be appropriate for a terrified little girl's sad and stark memories. The intensity of the ordeal just... sears, when you try to comprehend it.
