That's an interesting thought. We just take it for granted that humans aren't perfect, and do make mistakes. But why? Because we can't see into the future? Because often we can't realize that a mistake is a mistake until after it happens--after the consequences? Hmm. But why do we do things? What does it all mean?! Heh. Thinking like this is bound to turn our brains round the twist--I'll ponder it when I've got decades more years of experience.^^

Geeky! Yay! I'm geeky too! I say to my friends, "My friends, we are geeks. Let us proudly proclaim it in the hallway and celebrate our geeky life!" My philosophy is that if liking anime, manga, comics, school, and other nonmainstream things means I'm geeky, then I'd rather be geeky and happy than popular and not. So I feel no need to change and become less geeky.^^
I don't know. This is just what I think.^^ And good for you on being a straight A student!

deal...yeah...It's not very popular though--a few episodes ran several years ago, but it was canceled...then they put it on DVD...etc...it's a great

Where to start! Firefly is described as Joss Whedon's 'baby'. It's a show he made for himself rather than for the fans. It didn't go over very well--it was canceled a few episodes before it ended. But his fans found it and it was released on DVD. Also, he got permission to make a movie--Serenity. It was out in theatres and everything.
Here's the description from the back of the DVD box set:
"Five hundred years in the future there's a whole new frontier, and the crew of the Firefly-class spaceship 'Serenity' is eager to stake a claim on the action. They'll take any job, legal or illegal, to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table. But things get a bit more complicated when they take on a passenger wanted by the new totalitarian Alliance regime. Now they find themselves on the run, desparate to steer clear of Alliance ships and the flesh-eating Reavers who live on the fringes of space."
That about covers it. There are only 14 episodes total. There are 9 people on Serenity--the show is about them. It's really great. If you ever have a chance to see it, you should.

Wooow....battleships....^^..well to tell you the truth I have been churning out battleships comic myself...^^ only it was called an unpoetic "Survivor"....and it was set just 110 years in the future....but if it was cancelled, I don't think I'll ever find any trace of it here...><

And it's not about a lone battleship, it's about a captain who decided to find his old crews and kick some ass...to put it bluntly...^^

Well....they sold him...and since he is the best pilot the universe had ever produced he lives his life for 110 years in an alien suspended animation chamber fighting his own country (then USA, 110 years later UCA-United Colonies of America located in Saturn's orbit) as a remote pilot whose every actions are controlled by a shock body-suits and a tightly controlled camp--in short AN ETERNAL SLAVE....but somehow he got loose and went looking for payback...^^ but then he got so *out of this world* he didn't realised that all his crews had died and he was all alone, without purpose....

0.0 You've REALLY thought this out, haven't you? I think it's a great idea, fresh and original. Sort of. How did he become such a great pilot? What was his childhood life? What makes him the best pilot the universe had ever produced?

His love for flying and his determination to make his father proud...^^ and his childhood is pretty typical, good, average life until his father was drafted to Vietnam (He was born in 1973) and his family broke apart as his father's death was confirmed, soon his mother died of cancer and he was left to his grandma...
Determined to be the best soldier to defend his countrymen, he joined the Army, later recruited by the Air Force to serve in a top-secret war against aliens. I called it THE CONFLICT 51....^^...geekish huh...?
But what makes him the greatest pilot the world had ever produced is his sheer will to survive...the war against vastly intelligence alien is NEXT-TO-IMPOSSIBLE..but he was one of the 12 who actually survived...the other 10 were his turncoat junior-pilots....the last one....that's THE plot-twist..
