Wow, I'm finally done with this. I may rework the details of the necklaces later, but now, I can't do anything more on this ^^°I've always wanted to draw something in Art Nouveau style, and a few days ago, when I saw this post: [link] on Tumblr, I thought that drawing an Himba would be perfect! So here it is!
I used this picture from Mucha: [link] as a reference for the style, the background and all...
For the motifs on the background, I looked for african motifs on Google and then I mix a few of them to have this. For all the details in the circles, I wanted to alternate animals and plants from Africa. And drawing all the leaves of the background was the most horrible part!
All this details took me soooooo long! But I'm actually proud of the final picture. And I really hope you guys here will like it too!

Ca, c'est très, très, très cool.
C'est la première fois que je vois un mix art africain et art nouveau, et ça marche super bien. jpense qu'il y a encore moyen d'améliorer, même si j'avoue personnellement ne pas voir trop comment présentement, mais c'est la classe.

jpensais pas forcément sur ce dessin, juste pousser éventuellement le concept sur d'autres dessins après...
présentement ça me semble très bien sur cette version, ceci dit.

Actually, I just make a little motif on another picture (about 100*100 or smaller) and I use it to paint all the background. (I'm sorry if it's not clear, I don't know how to explain it in English^^°)

Le mix Africain/Art Nouveau, c'est juste une totale réussite, une merveille graphique! Les couleurs, le portrait, les motifs, tout est parfait

Ca faisait un moment que je voulais en faire de l'art nouveau, mais j'avais pas juste envie de faire quelque chose de vu et revu, alors que je suis tombée sur cette superbe photo d'une Himba, ca a fait *tilt*
Surtout qu'il me semble pas avoir deja vu ce mix ailleurs!^^
