It's been a long time since I last drew a LoL fanart but I stopped playing for almost a year. When I came back a lot of new characters had appeared and Vi was one of the coolest.At first, I just wanted to draw a girl rockstar and Vi's face came naturally on it. So here she comes, rocker Vi!

There needs to be a new band-themed team, and Vi needs to be a part of it! No offense to the Pentakill band, but another band is needed - atleast for a "Battle of the Bands" in Summoner's Rift

All jokes aside, they really should start another band themed skin set. Pentakill is good for the Heavy Metal themes that are prevalent in most of the skins (and in some cases the characters themselves) but honestly there really should be more for that theme. I mean, Valoran must be one musically dead place if all you get is A blue-haired beauty and her stringed instrument, and then same woman but playing Metal on the weekends.Β
There are numerous champions out there that just don't have any really interesting skins (or in many cases just too few skins in general.) I mean, why has no one made a Sonata Diana? Or Rocktoberfest Vi? Thrash Thresh?Β
I mean, aside from puns and other things, there really is a lot of opportunity out there for champs to jump in on this. It'd be a good way to flesh out some of those more...bland picks.

Seeing some other champions get some rocking skins would be amazing. Honestly, your example names are really good! ^___^ If I was much more artistically good, I would ask to use them in several band-themed skin ideas!Β
You are right - its funny how Sona is so pleasant, and then has a metal themed skin with her (She's my favorite support by far, but honestly, the Pentakill skin isn't good. The proportions are all wrong to me and it makes her look small and insignificant when compared to her in other skins). I did see a Punk Rock skin idea sketch for Vi not long ago. Add a guitar on her back or a mic in her fist and I'd be happy ^__^.
I'm sure there have been numerous cries for another band-themed skin set by players everywhere - I'm betting there has. I'm sure Riot has heard our calls and might have something in the works. If only I knew how the Pentakill skin set came to being, there must have been a band or an idea from somewhere prior.

Honestly, I'm fairly sure the Pentakill set all spawned originally for Mordekaiser (being that he is very much an in-game allusion to Heavy Metal, more specifically Black Sabbath song I believe.) Yorick's are similarly done, though his skin is an attribute to Slash, an icon of post-grunge hard rock and really has nothing to do with his champion.
And I think this is the underlying problem with Pentakill. The only one that really has any connection to the music is Mordekaiser, and Sona is definitely out of place.
I mean, a Blues themed Twisted Fate is a theme just waiting to happen. He's a New-Orleans Card Shark. Β Graves is practically a Country song waiting, and like I said Diana could easily get a Moonlight Sonata joke put in, and Vi....I mean really, SHE LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF PUNK SINGERS NOW!!!!
I'd like to see that come together. It'd be a good concept and really boost the sales of skins to have a unique theme go out like that.
