I never watched the anime or read the manga, but I like these characters. Because they're both nerds.

Though Naru only dressed like that so boys won't hit on her and she can concentrate with college. I like her in her nerdy love.

I thought of an idea for a fanfic. It'll be an AU fanfic where these two grew up together as best friends. (I'm not sure if Naru was that girl Keitaro knew when he was a kid. But for the sake of this fic, she is.) When they were around 5, Naru almost moved away, but her family changed their minds. Keitaro was so happy she's staying. He doesn't know what he would do if she was out of her life. Naru decided to they should make a pact: they both have to work hard in school, so they'll eventually be accepted to Tokyo University together and get married, so they can be together and live happily.

Nine years later, they are in high school. They are boyfriend and girlfriend. They are both top students. They are also social outcasts for being brainiacs and have no friends other than themselves. That is until some new girls enrolling in school: Mutsumi Otohime, Shinobu Maehara, Motoko Aoyama, Kaolla Su, and Mitsune "Kitsune" Konno.
