In my MCU , the other heroes got involved in the Battle of New York (also known as the Incident).

SHIELD also had them under their radar, as Nick Fury believes they could be useful allies even if none of them wish to join neither SHIELD or the Avengers. Although Wolverine and Spider-Man might have an interest (like their comic book counterparts).

By this point, post-The Last Stand happens differently, it's more or less the Original Timeline with a few elements from the New Timeline (like the REAL Deadpool). I imagine Cyclops and Jean Grey were revived by Mr. Sinister, who serves Apocalypse. After defeating them, Cyclops and Jean rejoin the X-Men. Nightcrawler rejoined the X-Men after dealing with his own past. Jubilee (who's a teen/young adult in the early 2000s instead of in the 1970s or 1980s?) joins the team as well. Thus they were able to aid the Avengers fight against the Chitauri.

Nick Fury tells Punisher (Thomas Jane) that if he joins, he'll have his criminal records wiped clean.

Daredevil (Ben Affleck) and Elektra (Jennifer Garner) reunited and worked together to take down the criminals of Hell's Kitchen until they were recruited by Punisher, Invisible Woman (Jessica Alba), and Ghost Rider (Nicolas Cage).

Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) were the ones who recruited Hulk, while he was being chased by Glenn Talbot in revenge for getting his brother killed. Glenn's brother is the Glenn Talbot from the 2003 movie (with his first name being William instead).

Reed Richards (Ioan Grufford) and Beast (Kelsey Gramer) would join Tony Stark and Bruce Banner on the experimentation with the Cosmic Cube.

While in the Helicarrier, Johnny Blaze was looking though the files on the Cosmic Cube, and noticed Mephisto's name in there.

During the battle, Punisher would grab one of the Chitauri blaster rifles and blast them good.

The Baxter Building got destroyed.

Blade (Wesley Snipes) later joined the battle when he saw it on the news.

Johnny Storm (Chris Evans) initially volunteered to close the portal since he can fly, but Iron Man said he'd do it since he'll be able to breath in his suit while in space.

Before the portal closed, Professor X (Patrick Stewart) briefly since another presence. Someone who's obsessed with death...

Inspired by this Avengers 2000 fan trailer , What If The 2000's Marvel Heroes Became The Avengers? , and The Avengers 2000 (Arachno Crawler) .

I didn't include the 2003 Hulk, since Hulk already exist in the MCU. Also, I consider the 2003 movie the prequel to 2008's The Incredible Hulk, since it was originally written as a sequel to the 2003 movie.
