My first Transformers fanart.

Here we have Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots.

I looked at pictures of the G1 and Animated versions. I wanted to use different versions of Optimus to draw my own version of Optimus.

In my personal canon , Optimus Prime is a combination of the G1, live-action movies, Animated, and Prime.

Optimus Prime is both brave and compassionate (can also be seen as relatively naive and too idealistic), inspiring greatness in those who follow him. Optimus has a strong sense of justice and righteousness and has dedicated himself to the protection of all sentient life; he will battle his foes with unyielding resolve to uphold his belief.

He was once a young robot named Orion Pax (or Optronix), a dock worker and a librarian of sorts during the Golden Age of Cybertron. He was friends with Ariel and Dion. His "twin brother" Megatron became the leader of a new breed of robots called the Decepticons. He joined a militia called the Autobots, becoming one of its first warriors, along with his lover Ariel (who was rebuilt as Elita-1).

He became a close friend and second-in-command to the Autobot leader Sentinel Prime. But after some unspecified incident, he was discharged from the Autobot Academy, preventing him from joining the Elite Guard. Sentinel stills sees something special in Orion, so the best he could to is resigned him to space bridge repair duty with leadership of the Ark and its repair crew. Orion's academy rival Zeta was thrusted by the High Council of Elders into the Prime Rank and given the Matrix of Leadership.

Some stellar cycles later, following Zeta's mysterious disappearance, he re-earned the Prime Rank and granted the Matrix by Sentinel Prime. He's now the leader of the Autobots, and commander of a new team of Autobots made mostly of his old space bridge maintenance crew.

Prime and his crew was sent on a mission to search out new worlds for new energy source to revitalize Cybertron. They were attacked by the Decepticon space cruiser Nemesis, commanded by Megatron himself. During a space fight, the two ships crash-landed on Earth where they stayed in stasis for the next million years until they were accidentally awakened by an apparent intruder. Optimus and the Autobots took on Earth vehicles as alternate modes scanned by the ship's computer Teletraan-1.

They were discovered by a human teenager named Sam "Spike" Witwicky. The Autobots made Earth their home and remained hidden from other humans while protecting it from the Decepticons and the forces of evil.
