In my Transformers universe, Ulchtar is similar to Starscream from the Unicron Trilogy. He's as honorable and sane as Starscream during Armada, while also fiercely loyal to Megatron during Energon.

This is a great contrast to his son, who desires to overthrow Megatron and lead the Decepticons himself.

Megatron has nothing but respect and appreciation for Ulchtar's loyalty and services. This is one of the two reasons why Megatron even let Starscream stick around despite his constant backstabbing, the other being having a reason to always stay on his toes.
