I wanted to play Diablo 3 but instead I ended up painting something inspired by Act 3 and the city of Caldeum. It's not as grand as their design but still. Hope you like it. I had a Mullins piece on the brain when I was painting it (the rock spires in particular) so there is some creative credit due there.

I love the design of those tall rocks,
they look like they rather have taken corrosive
damage from acid than the normal erosion process.
The lighting is also great here!

and its not even a real matte painting. The background mountain is mostly a photo but the rest is painted with some texture elements. Really sunk some time and effort into this one

And doesn't matter it's not entirely painted, the essential is that the atmosphere and overall image are great (and coherent) !

I said to myself "Hey this looks like diablo" *read the description* It is! Well done on the desert, I particularly hate this act. Mine is always first Act. I will have to check out the live stream of this.
