And thanks! It had a really nice ending so it wasn't that bad when it ended. And Tales- games are kind of meant to be played multiple times so there's still plenty of things to discover!~

That is so true, the boss fights keep giving the feeling that something's lacking... and the ruins/dungeons tend to be kind of boring as they repeat the same elements little too often. But otherwise it's a very entertaining game! Vesperia's still my eternal favorite, but Zestiria is a good runner-up with its likeable main cast and fun combat system ^^
Zestiria's apparently getting an animated series, too. Looking forward to that since the anime versions of Tales- games have usually been pretty good.

I think it's because the bosses are primarily large versions of enemies and they really don't have many attacks (and the ones they do have are too simplistic.) I think it's just further evidence they need to work on that part. The enemies really have barely changed from Vesperia. The combat has gone way over their heads, such that most successful boss strategies involve pretty much locking them in place most of the time and they have to resort to very overpowered attacks to make up for the fact that they barely ever do anything. But when you do get a good opponent, it's fun. I had a blast fighting Sergei. (He's my favorite NPC in the game right now.) Rose is my favorite character now. Who'd have thought they'd go and fuse together my favorite characters from past games into one?

Lots of references to other games too. I found Rowen's book of poems and a statue of Gaius. Also, doesn't it remind you of Skyward Sword? With the style of the character models and the story and everything? Even the main bad guys share a certain resemblance.

Exactly! It's no better with the extra bosses.. most of them have only one Mystic Arte which is capable of destroying max 2 characters from the field, and very little anything else :/ The dragon fights were kind of anticlimactic, too, and I really expected to see more of those. Tiamat was a pretty good dragon boss though, and not only because of the fantastic song playing in the background.
Sergei was indeed a fun guy to fight. I also like his character a lot, he seems like a genuinely good guy! For the first time since Vesperia, I can actually say that I like all the main characters, but I think my favorite would be Lailah or Mikleo. Rose is a great character, too. Can't stop adoring that assassin/Scattered Bones outfit...!

And yes, the references. One of the best parts in long-running series. Do you know who you will encounter in the post game dungeon? You might be surprised~ ^^ I also like the fun accessories, like the floating Repede and Mini-Jude ;D
My roommate just recently said that it reminds her of Skyward Sword! It's been a while since I played that game, and I can only remember the lizard soldiers... but they're basically in every fantasy game so it's no surprise ;D But on a quick overlook, I guess the character models indeed look alike!

Yeah, at least the music is great. The music for the first dragon fight was very good and the temple music! *__* Love it. Heh, Tiamat was a giant bat in Darksiders.

I think Zestiria may be one of the best when it comes to achieving balanced attention between all the characters. I feel like everyone's had very good exposure so far. I like Rose's normal outfit better. Maybe because the assassin one reminds me a lot of the Dark Brotherhood. XD (And I'm more of a Morag Tong player myself )

Jade I know, but haven't heard of anyone else. I'm still only at the water temple. Yeah, not only the character models, but the bubbles when you hover over something in the overworld (check, save etc.) look just like in Skyward Sword, and the music sometimes, especially in the forests  reminds me of it. Elysia also reminds me of Skyloft, musically and conceptually, since Sorey starts basically living above the clouds, away from the troubles of the world below. Only thing missing is I still haven't met anyone as fabulous as Ghirahim yet.

Yeah! That, and the Earth Temple's music were probably my favorite tracks from the game. ´ v ´ I keep getting Star Ocean vibes a lot from the soundtrack though, but it's no surprise since SO's main composer was part of the game's music team.

I hope I'm not spoiling anything right now, but I just can't keep quiet ;D Sophie from Graces is also in the post game dungeon. I was so surprised to see her there, it felt so out of place (in a good way!). And it was so much fun to see Jade again, since he's one of my all-time favorite Tales- characters.

Ghirahim's fabulousness is hard to beat...! But yeah, good points there. At least Sorey's not literally jumping down from the clouds.... ;D (okay, that might actually be kinda cool now that I think about it...)

Not at all. I'm very happy to hear it. It's so nice to know I'll finally be seeing someone else familiar in post game. So far the cameos have pretty much all been from games I haven't played even though I've played a fair number of them now, and the only one I did know, Kratos in Vesperia, was actually pretty disappointing. I'm looking forward to the future, hopefully getting to see some more familiar faces. I only hope Sohpie has better luck in Zestiria than she did in Graces. I kind of beat her without taking a hit and I felt bad because she tried so hard.

I could totally see him riding a loftwing. In fact, I could see all of them riding loftwings. Future drawing maybe.

Hah, you said it! I kinda want to draw more of that character, just for the hair (that'd also work as a good practice!)
