My take on Ibuki. The novelty of drawing in "calligraphy" style still hasn't worn off, but don't worry I'll get back to my normal shading soon

aawww thanks! Why this one in particular may I ask? Is it because of the integration of the character with a background? I don't really do backgrounds normally because of time, but I felt it was needed in this context - did you notice Akuma's cameo?

Awesome dramatic shot here. I love the sweeping brushstrokes you've used and all the stylized curves defining the shapes; the angle and the flying curves and curls give it a great sense of motion, and the color scheme captures the feel of an old print while being bright enough to look modern and attractive. Beautiful style.

Really digging the style here, I'd actually like to see even more art in this style to be honest.
Still has that sense of movement that I love seeing in your artworks. Ibuki looks great here too (she's a potential up and coming fave of mine the series).

No rush to get back to your normal shading on my behalf. Don't want to over do it, but it's working plenty fine for me.
Anyway, I really like the composition of the piece. It's bottom up view gives it a very actiony perspective, almost like we're a guard she's ambushing. Her hair whipping about could suggest she's just landed from a height. The fact the columns of smoke (?) go straight up would contradict the idea of the wind blowing.
I like how only one hand has the knives, while the other is sticking out for balance. It's a good idea. Of course, the little fox with the ribbon is cute. I'm not familiar with the character, but the fox is a nice addition.
Great choice going for the moon. Very dramatic.
