Here's a newer model of the first 'Sparrow' assault-rifle I've published.www.deviantart.com/tj-nissinen…
Unlike Vorobey M1, the M2 is supposed to be the service-weapon for all
the Soviet-troops from the very start of its mass-production in 2014.
The M1 was only issued to troops, that needed a more compact rifle,
like vehicle-troops and special operatives.
These fictional Soviets in the 2000's started to go big on bullpups in
the 2010's, including their sniper-rifles.

The M2 still uses the 5.45x39 mm Soviet round, but it has a couple of features taken
from "the decadent west", like G36-style interlocking plastic-magazines and an
M16-style charging-handle there in the base of the carry-handle.
This change with the charging-handle of course enables you to have the scope-rail
right on the body of the rifle and get rid of the carry-handle all together, I might some day
get my lazy ass to make a new alternate, better model without the carry-handle.
