Just on Thursday while I was walking to the bus stop, a bee kept chasing me and landed on my finger and I completely freaked out (although he felt a little like my guinea pig - fuzzy and furry and soft!), not a fun experience.

However, if I saw that bee on the flower like this little guy (whom might not even be a bee? I'm not sure what a hoverfly is...), I would've been much happier! I really love the focus on this picture, it makes the insect look completely unreal! I didn't even think it was real at first! You're really great at these shots~
And even the way the flower opens up to the insect is cute and welcoming~ (the petals I mean) and cute! I reallllllly love your colour choice in the picture, yellow and purple are complimentery colours and in here it really looks so! I'm suprsed you were able to take such a close and nice picture! I would have definitely backed away!

Oh my, I totally would have freaked out as well! I hate it when those creatures take such great interest in me - I definitely prefer to have them at a safe distance (for me meaning quite far away)

Hoverflies are not bees, but their colouring often make them look like wasps. Many of these have frightened me so badly before, because I didn't recognize them as hoverflies at once. These are harmless, but I'm not overly fond of them anyway. They just make good photo motives We call them "blomsterfluer" in Norwegian, so my instinct was to call them "flower flies" in English, but I figured that had to be wrong as it was such a simple translation, but according to wiki they can actually be called that. Hoverfly just sounded much more awesome, so I had to use that as a title

Hahaha flower flies doesn't seem to give them proper justice, they are quite neat!
My goodness I really hope you don't get a heart attack, you seem to get bugs flying at you all the time! But it really is nice look at this~ Beautiful and adorable!

I suppose that sooner or later, some of those creatures really will give me a heart attack

Thank you None of them really kept still, though. The shots that turned out nice are results of patience and a LOT of shots

This one (and the others flying around there) were no exception to that rule - they kept flying off when I focused on them. And when they did stand still, the wind made sure that it wouldn't be simple getting a good shot >< Feels very nice that some of them turned out nice ^^

Yeah, it's always satisfying to find that you've got at least one good shot on a bad day.
