Yep, EVERY SINGLE TIME a riot has taken place in a superhero film/show. I recently thought it was interesting looking at it from a different point of view from civilians or more gritty nature. So here are some examples of riots that happened in alternate/same universe against superpowers. The joker is a standalone universe from the main DCU, so it is an alternate universe courtesy of discussing it with my best friend, so while the justice league was fighting Darkseid, joker meanwhile in a different universe was rioting. We also have mount massive riot that happened in Outlast along with the fact that there is A LITERAL DEMON/GHOST on the loose. There is also the boys, which shows the civilians against the homelander or his forces. X men also experienced something similar with rioters going up to their mansion and by going crazy. My favorite one is maybe the ferrix road riot, besides stormtroopers being kinda badass, not only is it interesting to see it differently from jedi/sith but also the fact that brutality and hand to hand are shown through this . HECK HAND TO HAND WAS SHOWN THROUGHOUT ALL OF THIS. So it's pretty much interesting that riots happened either in the main universe with other characters, HAVING said superpowers or being in an alternate universe as Joker movie or batman movie explains.
