This is such a lovely piece, I am happy to have found it! This dwarf's quirky style made me giggle. The cartoony simplicity of his accessories complement his exaggerated proportions. There are some details that really make me excited about this piece, like his silly jutting teeth and his bulging eyes. The floating eyebrows are full of expression, and the nails poking out from his axes are a great touch. This dwarf has a very simple style, so he looks nice on a white background with a small drop shadow. I do wish he was in a setting that told the story of why he seems so startled/exasperated!
I think this piece would look wonderful with some cleaner lines as well.
I give this dwarf a high star rating on everything bu t:impact". The reason for that is because it does not quite evoke strong emotions in me, as it does not have a clear message. It is, however, a lovely piece of work.
