Size won't stop our loooove! FFXIV picture of kitty girls (mi'qote)This was a FFXIV request that I got into and was enjoying alot, so I finished it in what can be counted as "fast" for me.
My Linkshells other tank likes to comment on how tall my Miqote is and was like "you should draw us kissing!" so... I did. huehuehue.
This is more sweet than most of my other works, where I usually try to insert some humor, and I played around with shading/lighting styles (trying something sort of like Agawa, but without as much ability!)Β but I'm happy with the result~

Edit: Don't mind me, I just tweaked a little teeny bit of shading and lips.
Edit #2: Added a tail to the tiny Miqote. I can't believe I forgot that AND failed to notice it for so long. Too busy staring at the lips. lipsss.

Nekos are always fun to see in these sort of situations. I still can't vouch anything for or against FFXIV since I haven't played it, but it at least sounds pretty decent. Then again, I have my own time-consumer games...*coughTerraria*
Again, your art just keeps looking more refined each time you post something! And I still can't get over how well you draw armor and such. Any tips for that, by chance?

Everyone has their own personal time dump, I don't judge! Terraria looks like fun, but building games are something I don't get too into, as I dont have the time to really get to the meat and potatos part of things.
Thank you though! It's probably the big noses that makes it look refined~ nooooses.
Alas no particular tips for armor, you generally dont want to use pure white, a slight blueish "tint" for white armor allows you to add a bit of shine to it (very very slight, you can see the difference on my shoulders) and hard/soft shading helps seperate whats a hard curve from a more sloping curve on a piece. Also while I didn't use it much here, solid white "shines" along edges can look nice, as that makes the surface look more reflective. Also don't be afraid to make parts of armor bulky! If you have a specific question I can try to help~ I liked your designs though.
I'm not an expert though, as this is my in game armor I had some nice references for everything.~ References can be very helpful, although when designing your own armor and stuff my tips above MAY help. Although again this all depends on style and stuff.

Ah, you finished it up. This came out wonderful. I like how there's a few things you soft shaded with no lines, like that armor mesh. It adds a bit of contrast to everything else. And so much detail on all the cloths and armor, very nice~
I also really like the poses, something about her standing on the back of the hand instead of the palm lends a bit of elegance, and uniqueness to this picture for me.

I really like the pose here. You did a wonderful job showing both characters' interaction, and the detail in the armor is really excellent. Also, I like this shading style. ^____^

Thanks! The shading style was something I wanted to try, mix of hard and soft shading~ I used air brush to darken both the inside parts of the shadows and to create soft edges to the shadows in areas where there were more subtle/gentle curves.
The pose was also alot of fun, being held in the palm is the usual thing, but I wanted something a bit more neutral feeling~ rather than the big person "carrying" the little one. And the armor details was also alot of fun, I wanted to represent both our looks faithfully from in game! The armor especially had lots of little details that I tried toΒ keep accurate, and part of why I used the shading technique I did in the first place. A hard cell shaded line would have looked weird on my shoulders for example.
Still took me a couple weeks. "fast" for me is still snails pace. Admittedly I dont work on this 24/7 or anything though, only a little bit or not at all on several days.
