Alright! So this is a birthday gift art for *DG-Studios ! She asked that I did some D.Gray-Man fanart, something I have wanted to do for awhile. She told me her favorite characters were Kanda and Allen. At first, I wanted to do one featuring both of them, staring each other down, wanting to kill each other....as you can see, that didn't happen. I FAIL.
More than anything, I've wanted to draw Allen sporting his Innocence in sword form, the "Crown Clown".
The background gave me some hassle, I didn't know what I wanted to do. Eventually, the checkerboard came to me. It feels pretty natural as a background to me.
I gotta say I really enjoyed this one, and I hope the birthday girl enjoys it, too!
EDIT: I have decided to go ahead and do what I forgot to do, add Timcampy. Took probably 10-20 minutes to throw him together.
Next in line is my birthday gift art for ~vangelisgenesis . That one's proving to be challenging, but I won't give up!
Approx. 5-6 Hrs, Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Illustrator CS5

You did a great job on it!
Not a lot of people add the extra detail with the small border of circles around the edge of his sword (We only really get a good close up of it when he first gets his sword, so I guess it's understandable to forget xD).
And I like what you did with Allen's cursed eye as well-- the smudge of red seems to add more movement to the pic ^^
