Description
This has been a long time coming! Before the story in Heartcore gets too far, Emerald is being replaced with a character that is 100% mine - Nyx Avarie!
(It's pronounced like "Nicks", as I am a fan of Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks and it is a subtle reference to the fact Stevie is considered a witch in various media, as Nyx was in her pre-demon life~)
There is no animosity between Cory Holmes and I, and he's well aware of this! But I did want the comic and its characters to be 100% mine because I wasn't completely comfortable drawing lewds and selling stuff of a character that I didn't have full control over. I also felt restricted in her characterization. Since the outfit, horns, etc. were all mine as well as the characterization / body type / hair style not matching up, I knew it was time to make the change before I got in too deep.

I hope you enjoy her! The pages uploaded to deviantart are unaltered for 100% accurate archive use, but she has been added into all the pages on the main site!

Fun little factoids about Nyx!

--> Her sclera does not turn black like the other overfiends when she is angry or using a lot of power. Instead, her glasses become opaque, obscuring her eyes to the viewer. Sometimes they even seem to catch on fire, I chalk it up to rule of cool.

--> She is actually involved with Goristro in this version of the story!

--> Her muse leaves her with both the biggest advantage and biggest disadvantage when in urban environments!
