Description The final version of the first outcome.
I went a bit crazy with these, but I think it's my favorite piece yet.
I suffer of stage 5 kidney failure. I'm constantly sick, weak, broken. In my eyes, a broken monstrosity sometimes.
I spent much of the night in the hospital this previous evening & when I got home, I finally found inspiration that I've been yearning to feel for a while. This is the outcome.
The first one on the top left is the first creation. The second was a progress. By the third, it was the final outcome & the fourth was just a different tone. I couldn't decide on which I liked best to use as for my portfolio so I had no choice, but to put them in a transition set like this! Lol.
Thank you ahead of time for the critique.
Notice the details & differences in each image.
Let's see if you can point them out.
Also: the first original one at the top left I had put in grain, as you can see there isn't much of it at all in the after-photos.

Where to start!

This picture is jaw-dropping. The emotion, the creepy uber-institutional atmosphere, the editing - it's all exquisite.

Your recent (I think?) foray into super-high ISO and the related noise has been a serious benefit to this image. The noise lends itself well to making this look like a security camera snapshot.

The post processing reminds me a little of Fringe and the game F.E.A.R., most specifically the disjointed background and the overlay. I half expect you to lunge at the camera in the next frame.

You mentioned that this is a self-portrait. That, when taken with your Artist's Comments adds very much to the impact of this work. That this is something you may actually be living in some form adds so much poignancy, so much emotion and almost despair.

Wonderful, astounding image. This may be your best work to date!

I honestly now think that I should've named this "Broken Home". What a twisted way that name would fit.
