Description
Commission of an original Dungeons and Dragons character, Malachus. This proved to be one of my more challenging commissions, just because of the number of specific details I was given without a pre-established visual of the character besides some references of inspirational designs. I was a bit daunted at first, essentially having to draw someone's obviously carefully crafted character for the first time, but I had a lot of fun with it.

The pose I drew was different from what the commissioner wanted at first, but through some collaboration, we came up with a good narrative for Malachus, who is quite badass. Standing at the precipice of a cliff, cornered by an opponent that thinks they have him beat, he turns, brandishes his sword, and grins wickedly. And the enemy knows they're fucked.
