I am trying so hard to paint. I am just kind of tired of my anime style. I fully intend to keep up with it since so many people like it (I will keep doing it for commissions of course) however I don't want that to be the only style I can do.Painting digitally has always been a challenge for me, especially shading. If anyone has any tips or tricks for doing this I would appreciate it.Β

...I'd tell you what settings I typically have my brushes for paintingΒ on but I don't have them atm :'D I'm by no means very good at digital painting but I do know that having good brushes really helps~
Also, one thing that helps me practice is painting on different colored backgrounds! Let the background color through deliberately, y'know? It can look really pretty too~

Yes, I would like to get some custom brushes for SAI but I hear the downloading process
is difficult to deal with ;-;
