Once looking at my previous work with the perplexingly polarizing Pearl, I had a crazy idea. I remembered some people didn't like her forehead, and I thought "Well, Pearl from Steven Universe has an even more prominent forehead, and nobody gives her flak for it!" Then I thought, "Hey. These two girls are both pale skinned, girls that are named Pearl and have magnificent foreheads." SO it was only natural that I did a piece featuring Pearl and Pearl interacting in a cute way.
