"Who's there?"

Hey everyone!

This felt like it took forever, playing with the lineart and boy can I say this one gave me one hell of a hard time. But I think I achieved the atmosphere I wanted! This came a little after the last piece called "Remnant" where I gave some thought to the other part of the group and their struggle. Enjoy and here's a small excerpt based of the idea ;D

The floor around Sans crumbled and he took a few steps back, long enough for Alphys to throw a bit of magic in the air. It exploded into a bright light, Frisk shielding his eyes in time and making Sans screech , recoiling and curling further away. Alphys barely caught Frisk as he fell and the two continued their run. "You have slipped past me for the last time human!"

Frisk grabbed Alphys's hand tighter as she turned around and headed into a large room. As she began to shut it, Sans gripped the edges of the door, struggling to get inside as the tendrils coiled and writhed. "Come on now....do not make this difficult...." Alphys trembled, grabbed Frisk, and shot a hole in the wall. The two ran towards it just as Sans pried the door open. Exhausted, the two ran down the hall, slamming several doors shut and then finally hiding behind one once Sans was out of sight.

"A-Alphys....is....is he gone?"

"Shh...." Alphys shushed Frisk as low, slithering noises sounded on the other side of the door. "Don't make a sound....no matter what...." The two waited, their breathing quiet as the noises ceased on the other side. Is....is.....he gone now? The door was slowly pushed open and Frisk struggled not to let out a small whimper. Tears fell down Alphys's face as she held the child close, a skeletal hand slowly creeping along the edge of the door. No no no no no.....

"Come out, come out wherever you are~...." Sans's voice echoed in the room as the two did their best to calm their frantic breathing. Tendrils slunk into view as the two moved closer to the wall and the door. Sans's head slowly peeked through, his blue and yellow eye flashing in the darkness. "It's no use hiding from me, little human. I can find you easily....that is, once I have your other friends..."

Paps and Undyne?! Frisk made to move but Alphys kept a firm grip on him, shaking her head.
No...she's right....he doesn't have them! They're the toughest monsters I know! Sans gripped the door tighter, making the metal crack under the pressure.

"Very well then....here or not, it matters not. I know where they have gone....I will find them." He retreated from the door and both of them let out sighs of relief.

Frisk slowly opened his eyes, his head throbbing. Where.....where am...I? He shivered and attempted to move when his arms were held back. Huh? His arms and legs were strapped down to a sort of table and he struggled against the restraints. He was in a plain, white baggy sweater, the feeling itchy against his skin. "Ngh.....gh! C-Come on...."
"You will not get out of those anytime soon, little human child." Frisk froze as a voice spoke close by, cold and quiet. A large, tall black figure seemingly made of melting shadows loomed next to him, his purple eye glowing in the darkness. "I suppose in most cases, it would be polite to introduce myself...but this is not most cases."
"Who are you? What did you do to Sans?!" Frisk snapped, his soft eyes hardened by his Determination. "Why did you attack my family?!"
"You humans are far to loud." The figure sighed and a tendril held up an unconscious Sans. "If you mean him....he is sleeping right All thanks to my good friend !! She writing the content and I'll be illustrating all four parts . Thanks everyone for sticking around and I promise more to come!
