Ah, that's because he wasn't being very useful helping her and Miku to find out why Len was heartbroken (in the comic, Neru refuses to be his girlfriend) or how to fix his situation.
It's a little complicated.
And, yes, Miku and Rin are VERY dramatical in this comic.
