Description
This is a drawing I wanted to do for a while, like a whole year type of a while. I hope by now that you understand why I didn't make it till now because I'd rather not specify it again.
Anyway, in case you haven't looked through my favorites, I have taken a liking to the new TV series, Unikitty!. (the exclamation point is part of the title.) That's right, Unikitty from The Lego Movie was so popular that she got her own animated TV show. Sure the animation style is the same as Teen Titans Go!, and we all know how unpopular that show is, but despite that, Unikitty! is waaaaaaaaaaaay better. Now for those of you who are unfamiliar with (most of) the characters, let me introduce them to you.
If you've seen The Lego Movie, you'll know that Unikitty is the kind sweet and lovable cat-unicorn hybrid who loves everybody. She is still a princess in this show, but instead of Cloud Cuckoo Land, she rules a place called the Uni-Kingdom with citizens are almost all hybrids, and she lives in a castle that's shaped just like her, and it doubles as a fountain. That castle actually appears in The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part. Her personality stays true to that in the movie, the show even enhanced her color changing to match how she feels. For example, as seen in the movie, she turns red when angry and green when she's sick or queasy. In the TV show, she also turns blue when she's sad and white when she's scared or startled.
Unikitty's best friend in the whole wide world in her little brother, Puppycorn, who like Unikitty is part unicorn, but in his case, the other part is dog. He's adorable, fun loving and a total goofball. He's pretty much the definition of a dog, and probably the word derp too. Though Unikitty is more or less of a kid, Puppycorn is totally a kid. Always playing and not doing much responsible stuff. But if you ask me, it's probably better that way. Like Unikitty's castle, Puppycorn makes an appearance in The Lego Movie 2, but his appearance is so brief, it's easy to miss him.
Dr. Fox is the Uni-kingdom's scientist and a good friend of Unikitty. When it comes to hybrids, I can't really tell if she's part fox part doctor or if she's a full fox who is also a scientist. She spends most of her time performing experiments, building robots and other science stuff. less often then always, her science work tends to cause really big problems. In fact, some of her experiments are very questionable. But she is a great and loyal friend, even if her work is more than likely to blow up in her and possibly everyone else's faces.
The big strong awesome looking hawk-crocodile hybrid is the one and only Hawkodile! He's not only Unikitty's friend but is also her bodyguard. It's his job to protect the entire Uni-kingdom from all kinds of danger. Burgles, villains, storms, giant monsters, you name it! He trained to be a strong, super cool action hero. His shades are a symbol of his action hero coolness. He's the braves warrior in the kingdom and will face any danger to keep his home and his friends safe. However, there is one thing that he doesn't have the courage to face, and that is (dramatic pause) telling Dr. Fox how much he loves her. Oh, he tried to give out some hints, but sadly, she never notices them. Keep trying, Hawkodile, keep trying.
And last but not least...no actually, it is least. We have Richard or Rick for short. He may very well be the only character in the entire show who is made out of only one Lego piece, being a levitating gray 1 x 3 brick. That fact perfectly describes his personality, the most boring person on the planet. He's the keeper of the castle who loves to do nothing more than clean the place. Though Unikitty is the ruler of the kingdom, it seems Richard has more power as to what goes on in the castle. She needs his permission to have a pet, he refuses to let her have dessert before dinner, and he nags her to do her chores...on a Sunday. That last part is totally messed up! He may not be the most appealing character in the show, but he is the most responsible and is often times the voice of reason. Oh, and there is one cool thing that this boring character can do. He can phase through walls, ceilings, and floors. Because of this, there are no doors or windows to his bedroom, that would be a waste of time. Other characters that need to get into his room will have to either push the bricks in the wall our of the way or simply smash their way through. Is that really worth talking to a boring floating gray brick?
Man, I thought these characters would be easy to draw because of their brick shape quality, boy I was wrong. It was my first time drawing them though. I'm thinking of making five drawings that compare each of these characters to the Watterson family. All depends on if I have the time and motivation. Anyway, enjoy this little picture I made.
Unikitty, Puppycorn, Dr. Fox, Hawkodile, Richard. and the Unikitty! TV series belong to , and Cartoon Network.
