Description
This was a final piece I handed in for my photography project. I'm fairly proud of it, the project was based on the word 'Chromatic' I think I managed to fit that word into this shot.Related content

Sometimes I think you don't need to know much about the technical stuff to know if you like the image or not, I am glad in this case you do

i think i figgured out why i dont understand photography.
for me i like deconstructing art, seeing all the brush work and imaging the artist working clay into place.
with photography i think its harder to see the effort behind the result (dont get me wrong, i am in no way saying photography is easy. i myself have enough trouble taking a picture that isnt blurry haha)

It is a lot harder to see the effort put in, compared with more traditional artwork, paintings and drawings, though you can tell through all the little things with a photograph whether it is good or not the focus, angle, composition etc. I'm nowhere near an expert on this kind of stuff and sometimes I still have trouble seeing the effort being put in with photography!

i feel i can appreciate most photography im a way like "i like this" sort of way but cant fully get into them like i can with more traditional arts like we talked about.
i think the kind of art photography is the art of seeking not really the picture itself, its just a shame the artist cant share that part of the result with the viewer.

The largest part of studying photography, is studying others photography, breaking it down into technical information, and trying to find emotion behind the photographs, or reasons for taking them, sometimes what the photographer might have been thinking by taking it in one way, and not another. Usually tiny details determine this :/
I think the artist can share a piece of what they were feeling, but not easily in any big way.

i see, yes it would be a lot harder as there are no clues in it like with traditional art where you can see the lines and strokes

beautiful refraction with bubbly texture. Whimsical. It reminds me of emergence of roygbiv from prism, hence the white light split up to into spectrum. Coincidence shot. Great imagery. Beautiful.
