So this is usually the part where I would provide some insight into the idea behind the drawing itself and what was going through my mind while making it. That's awkward here, since I haven't ever formally introduced either of these people. They're characters I've been drawing for a minute - especially the taller fellow on the right - yet they don't have much in the way of greatly defined details for me to expound upon. So, I suppose I may as well give a brief intro to who these people are and what significance they had to appear in a dream.

From left to right, these characters are Kalana and Bluke. They are, to me, the OC equivalent of comfort food. Often, when I want to draw something but don't know what, one of them is a default choice. The main core to them - at least as of current times - is just to build a couple full designs from one primary shape. Kalana is built around sharp triangles, while Bluke is built around rigid, soft semicircles.

Now here's where the dream made things funky: Kalana is not this tall normally. In fact, she is often built as the lankier type - it's just really hard to tell because most of her form is shrouded in that giant cloak. In this dream, however, she had a much more stout stature, while Bluke was much the same. Seeing her at such a short height, even in the vaguely defined dreamscape, stuck out to me alot, and I wanted to put the vision on paper.

Why do I belabor this so heavily? Well, to be honest, I actually really like the short Kalana vibe. It looks strangely natural, and it's kinda cute. I may keep her that way or have her alternate between the shorter and taller builds. In the end, these characters are just built in the manner that I enjoy drawing them in.

Do I expect anyone here to care? No. Again, I've never given these characters formal introductions. I just wanted to put this up because, well, I enjoy these two, and I've been thinking about this little vision that came out of my brain in my slumber.

Plus I'm just really happy with how this came out.

Anyways, that's that! Don't be afraid to pursue those odd thoughts that linger in the back of your mind. They might just hold some pretty good ideas.
