I feel this scenario would pan out somthing like...Ali: UGH. My feet are killing me! We've been walking all day in this stupid heat! That's it, I'm not taking another step >: O *Sits down*
Guliver: Aw, come on! We need to get there before nightfall! If you're not gonna walk, i guess I'll just have to carry you~! *Picks up Ali*
Ali: ...P--put me down. Right now.
LUL. I never do those scenario-text act-y out things. IM SUCH A NERD, DERP.
Anyway this was my part of an Art Trade with
He drew some old OCs of mine, Eden and Faith (who i havent drawn in like two years... AND SHOULD PROLLY START DRAWING AGAIN.)
His characters, Ali and Guliver.
BUHHH, Theres a lot with the psoe Im not super happy with. I wanted to do somthign "Princess carry" related, but all the princess carry poses i could find didnt really work out for me... so i jsut derp'd it up and tried to make somthign up myself. AND THATS WHY IT LOOKS KIND OF POOPY, LUL. /cant draw antyhign without a ref anymore, fraud detected.
Escpecially Guliver's legs... BUT DONT LOOK AT THEM. NOO.
and shit, guys. I drew a backgroudn. Can you tell I've been practicing? This is the fruit of my hard work, please enjoy. I looked out my window for a reference. Yup.
ALSO I'VE BEEN WONDERING HOW TO DO DIFFERENT COLOURED LINES FOR LIKE MY ENTIRE LIFE AND I FINALLY FOUDN OUT HOW BECAUSE THE LATEST ISSUE OF IMAGINE FX TOLD ME HOW.

It looks kidn fo poopy because I dont know how to do it super well eyt, LOL. First attempt kidn of lame-o, but Id like to wokr aroudn with different coloured lining a bit mroe now!

It's actually fairly good, the things you're talking about hating aren't bad at all. The only problem I see is that you don't get a clear picture of her weighing anything, he's not really holding her right. This way she seems to weigh as much as a cat, that he can hold her in his hand instead of his elbow, ya know what I'm saying? The hand holding her legs should be less of the hand and more of the arm... derp. If that makes sense.

I know what you're sayin' wiht the arm, would it need to be angled at al in the case? I sjut feel the upper part of the arm might look a bit longer then, too... BUT MAYBE THAT WOULD EBA GOOD THING? I dont know, my arm length/ leg lenth still gets screwed up at times!
I guess i had kind of an 'effortless' idea in midn when I was drawing it, but if it doesnt look right then mayeb that was a bad idea xD ahh! But yeah I can see what you're saying about the weight thing. Thanks man!

Nah, I think the angle and arm length is fine... whatever you change is going to involve a lot of work though so maybe it's just whatever. And it's fairly subtle. Generally though, think about how it would look if you picked someone up like that, or go find a photo ref of that. People are HEAVY, MAN. But not a "bad idea", but just slightly unrealistic. Only someone with supa strength like Captain Maim could pick someone up like that without trouble.
Either way it's not a huge deal. I don't even think anyone else commented on it.
