Description
I call this the Edwardian portable lamp.The brass handle is inserted into a hole in the wheel and cranked to produce light. It is fully functional.
The case is made from Ash wood and veneered with mahogany crotch wood. Most of the rest of the parts are brass. The Mahogany really lights up in the sun. It is not stained.
My own design and construction.

Thank you. I am glad you like it. It is interesting to observe people when they enter the living room where the lamp is. They look at the paintings on the wall with some interest, but as soon as soon as the lamp is noticed it draws their attention, almost like a beautiful but unidentified object might. When they see how it works as a hand cranked light everyone is delighted.

As for the lamps there are no instructions, except in my head. I could wright them down, but I think there would be no point as they are one off pieces.
