first of all: thank you!^^ and yeah... the background is really simple to make. in fact i just used a special brush with different colors. that is all^^ used Manga Studio Debut 4 as software

hmm... good question, iΒ΄m not very good to make backgrounds with PS. you have to try it by your self i think, sorry.
sometimes iΒ΄m just using different color, mix it with the smudge tool or something like that. but this way isnΒ΄t profesionell at all xD

just try some abstract backgrounds, think about what you want to say with your pic and then make a background what fits it^^
or a motive like the sharingan i used here... canΒ΄t give you any helpful tips, sorry

Messed up a little on Itachi's right eye, kinda looks like >, but overall it is pretty good... a lot better than anything I could draw, that's for sure
