Description
The AV-1 is the Serian Force's first foray into Combat Aircraft. Reasonably small, weighing in at only 20 tons the aircraft is the only true VTOL Capable craft in any of the allied or Enemy forces. Capable of complete Vertical Take off and Vertical Landing the AV-1 is an aircraft that can randomly pop out of the trees of the Jungle or the Murk and trees of the Swamps. Another Capability is the ability for the AV-1 to be able to be transported easily on the back of the Addai Transport truck. This means that the AV-1 may land in one place, but an airstrike or Orbital strike on the landing position will not always get the aircraft. As it will probably be loaded onto a truck and on it's way to another random position.

The AV-1 has a completely modular Pylon armament design. Unlike other aircraft all of it's weapons are mounted in Gunpods, Rocket or missile pods, or (in the case of bombs) just hanging off their Pylons. This allows the AV-1 to do many different jobs very easily, ground attack aircraft? Mount acouple of heavy gun-pods! Dogfighting? A pair of gunpods and some Air to air missiles! Enemy tanks got you down? We got an AV-1 for that too!

The AV-1 has a sturdy heavily reinforced frame that is beloved by it's pilots for being able to take punishment from ground and gun fire.

The Peculiar design of it's Camouflage is derived from early orbital Photographs of the world's landscape, taking the most common and prevalent colors in the photographs.

As there are no squadrons on the Serian planet, there are no squadron colors or name. On top of this as there is no viable Serian Government on the planet the wing-tip national insignias are missing, rising the name of these aircraft's pilots to the "Renegades".

Yes, I realise that it is basically a British Harrier. But really, the British harrier is really the only effective combat tested VTOL around and it has that beautiful distinctive shape. I love the thing.
