Description third one of the series. wow this project is really skipping along. almost done! and really enjoying the process too!Β

chandra was based on an art nouveau girl that ahem... wasn't exactly covered. well, since I do plan to have these at conventions I couldn't really have that. I also leveyed retaining her armor or discarding it in favor of something more similar to the original. in the end I decided the major reason I was doing this was to study the art nouveau style, and I wasn't going to get that by painting armor all over it.Β

another challenge was the color scheme. I thought this would be increadibly easy, since I could just go for a red-orange-yellow. but that... get's a little old fast and there's almost no contrast. so the entire thing is... a little red I guess..
anyways, thanks for looking, if you like it, leave a comment! or check out my website for more stuff!

You seem to have a competent grasp of the art nouveau "look", your lines are crisp (which I usually prefer), your red/orange/yellow color scheme works well (although the gradient transition near the bottom of the gown is too abrupt, I recommend starting it at the waist or hips and making it more gradual), and your background is absolutely mesmerizing. Color me green with jealousy! (Not envy, I don't do envy anymore.)

I forgot to mention the flowing curves - they're beautiful!

thanks the gradient was actually added after the shading of the gown was done, so it kind of destroyed the shading on the lower half, which is why I opted for a more conservative gradient. I agree it would look better if it were more gradual though

glad I read the description before I gave my feedback lol. Interesting seeing her in a dress as opposed Β to her armor, but not bad.
