A poor Nissa, no one likes you, mind you the disdain might be deserved, plus as of RtR she has been replaced with Vraska for the BG planeswalker
Lovely piece regardless

As a Planeswalker she seemed to be a decent enough character, a bit like a elf version of Elsbeth Tirel . And she has some standard tree hugging hippe traits of the standard elf.
I rather liked as a character until the last chapter of the book based on the Zendikar block. In that last chapter, she and Sorin Markov , went to the cave where the Eldrazi were sealed in and as Sorin was going to cast (or maybe recast) a spell to reinforce the binding on a particularity rock (which would keep the Eldrazi in stasis) she broke the damned rock. As if the giant massive roils of the land (massive valleys or mountain ranges cropping up) gravitational distortions and funky looking Eldrazi spawn weren't enough she goes and opens the lock letting the Eldrazi
(Emrakul , Ulamog , and Kozilek ) roam free. I wanted to slap the stupid outta her.

I know her backstory and the events of RoE, though it is true Vraska kind of makes it harder for her to be reintroduced given it would be weird to have 2 actual BG planeswalkers (Garruk does not count)

Not necessarily, There is Ajani and Elspeth in white, and the two of them know each other as friend and confidants.
Jace and Tezzeret are in blue, although I do think Tezzeret deserved getting his arm ripped off and promptly beaten over his head.
And the earliest green Planeswalker I know of was actually Freylise, she came across as a bit of a dive but I enjoyed her in the Apocalypse story and during the time spiral block.

True, might be an interesting way to show how even those with the same color combination can have different personalities, which is always fun, Vraska as a vengeful yet precise vigilante destroying the corrupt regimes of Ravnica, contrasting Nissa who desires peace and is willing to use any method for it.
