Funny that one comment mentioned that it reminded them of Akira 'cause it reminds me of one of the shorts of another anime, Robot Carnival. Even the lone character hints to a primal environment that remains unseen, but also gives a new spin on the title "urban jungle."

I can almost see the golden spiral at work here, what with the figure's position as focal point. The fact that his loincloth has the greatest saturated color in the image reinforces this, too, and its dark value makes it subtle and unobtrusive. Also, as mentioned before, the juxtaposition of organic with inorganic worked out nicely. The eye path tends to stay at right around where the figure is, however, but since that looks to have been your intent, it probably works out. At the very least, the repetition of the buildings' shapes create a busy pattern that helps to keep the eye moving off the figure.
