these are the fou pairings i HATE above all others because THEY DON'T MAKE SENSE!

finally someone says this! I'm really not trying to pick a fight, but i completely agree with you on all of them, especially as my favorite character Marik is involved, and as i don't want to pick any fights i just have to try and get past all these fanarts with a broken heart...

I do agree with you on a lot of these points, I think the fangirls just ship them because it's fun (at least, that's why I do).
Ryou does know Bakura exists (just watch the opening to episode 199...), but I agree, they've never shown any kind of affection for each other - if they appear in a scene together, it's always Ryou trying to resist Bakura. That said, I have to admit that I'm a Tendershipper at heart.
Bronzeshipping is...kind of odd, even compared to the usual Yami/Hikari pairings, because they never really specify whether Marik's other half is a true Yami or just another personality.
Thiefshipping probably got spurred on a lot by Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series, since Bakura's canonically gay in that and Marik is in an incredibly well-armoured closet.
Deathshipping...yeah, I don't even know where this came from. Probably all those people who like torturing poor Ryou.

I think I went way further into this shipping business than I meant to.

Well...I have to agree with your thiefshipping point. I watch //ygotas and even though i dont ship them, its hilarious and its alright...i expected long comments when i put this up. i kinda got tired of the pairings, but since then i've stopped caring. people can do as they will, and tbf it is fun

Bronzeshipping: I can imagine Yami Marik screwing with Marik's head just to upset/annoy him out of malice...
Deathshipping: Poor Ryo...
Thiefshipping: This is where it gets tricky. I ship it, but I hate OOCness (I cringe whenever one says "I love you") so it has to be exceptionally well written... or AU, or crack, either way.
It can make sense if it's handled properly.

Tender=I really am not a die-hard shipper of this, but I'm a fan. Though, you do have a point. They never really speak directly.
