One night, while out scouring the forest for supplies to restock her den, Callista took notice of the moon hanging full in the starry sky. She had never been especially fond of the night hours while living in Tundes; the moon and the stars there had felt as cold and unwelcoming as her family, ever watching her every move, impossible to escape. Yet now that she lived among the Kol, Callista found herself seeing the night sky in a different light. No longer did she need to sleep the hours away, dreaming of a place where she could walk free- her dream had become reality, and through it all the moon and stars still saw fit to shine down on her. She could finally enjoy the night, revel in it even, and so she would.

Callista stopped for a moment and sat under the light of the moon, soaking in its warmth like she'd never had the chance to before.
