This illustration was created for a BrushSauceTheatre competition hosted by TylerEdlinArt and Adam Duff, you can see the video of them judging that contest here youtu.be/mXzOHGCb0ag?t=33m12sThe theme of the contest was Lost Innocence which led me to being inspired by a Yeats' poem called Stolen Child where the old British and Irish folk tales of children being stolen by the Fairies is a metaphor for growing up and losing one's innocence.
So here we have a sinister Fairy Lord Kidnapping a young girl to take her to Fairy-Land.
