More rendering experiments, playing around with some of the other watercolor brushes and blenders. For the one on the left, I dropped in a hand painted (in real life hand painted…) texture I made. There’s an indie comic artist who’s work I really like named Jason Brubaker who does a lot of interesting things with textures in his work, and this is one of those techniques. I’m still trying to find that happy marriage of all the different things I like. What’s missing here is more obvious pencil rendering. I’m still trying to figure out how it can all come together.
