Some people who've known me well enough long enough, or people who haven't but have made certain comments they remember, know that I almost never actually try to make this girl here appear cute, BUT...:iconItsCuteAnywayPLZ:
This was just supposed to be a panel from an upcoming comic, and it wasn't even supposed to look like this. She was supposed to have a radically different expression on her face; I just drew the eyes this was as locational placeholders, but once I saw them and how right they were I could not erase them.
I didn't want you guys to have to tolerate yet another picture of Eva, but
I could not not post this.
This was meant to be posted scratchy, so I didn't even think of how I'd shade it, so I... actually kinda had to instantly learn something new about shading to shade it properly.
And of course I had to clean it up. It will be black and white in the comic, but I had to make it a proper colored picture also.In fact, I got the idea that I should make a Folder just to put panel excerpts in.

I've been thinking about something about your panels with weirder angles... I think, sometimes you have some sort of lens distortion added, you know, like a fisheye lense stretches everything an makes everything rounder. That's how we can see things that we wouldn't see that clearly otherwise. One thing that gets exaggerated is that close things look really big.

I wish I were better with lens effects, because if I were, I'd use them more. Sometimes I actually have used lenses deliberately, like onΒ

While the cuteness of this is obvious, I can't help but smile a little at the odd pose

I looked at the pose as odd too, after I made this, and more after I read this. I think- silly as it kinda sounds- that the main reason this pose looks odd is because you actually probably shouldn't be able to see her feet from this angle.
This was an accidental expression too good to erase, so I hope it works in the little comic entry it's for when I post it.
