Two years ago when I started watching My Little Pony, Over a Barrel was the worst episode I ever saw. Now....eh....its okay.It took two years for me to finish watching Over A Barrel and it was today I saw the ending. Had I seen that ending before, this wouldn't feel as bleh to me as it is. I did two versions of this, then went back to this one and added the color and background today. Inked it yesterday.
I actually came up with this idea a year ago, but just forgot about it.
This is my 200th Deviation. Two years. Two hundred. YAY!.....apparently this is two hundred and one. Oh well.

I know him from my uncle....who is a big fan of Street Fighter and Capcom vs SNK....etc. He apparently knows all the characters' storylines. And I watched a Street Fighter series once and Bison has always been my favorite.

Well I get the impression you don't know that much about the Bison meme.
And I don't wanna hear any of that "I'm angry at an eighteen year old cartoon from the US for being campy" oh and that reminds me....I need to rewatch the Street Fighter II movie. Haven't seen that in...watched it on VHS when VHS was common. So like, a while.

The reason I did this Bison image was a call back to my first image on DA, when I drew that one, I wasn't even a fan of MLP:FIM, I had just gotten my Cintiq and wanted to see if I could make an image and finish it, something I had never done before. So my friend was telling me about the sonic rainboom, and every time they said it I'd say "GO HOME AND BE A FAMILY MAN!" that Guile image is what came out of that.
No reason to tell you all this....I'm trying to get a Zelda image done for an art trade, and I've got artist block bad I'm procrastinating by typing out this message....been awake almost....yup almost twenty hours. STARING AT A BLANK PAGE.

Guile's Theme really does go with everything.
That video was one of three that got me just curious enough to look up the first episode of MLP: FiM one day in August of 2011.
I haven't looked back since.

MLP introduced me to Doctor Who via Doctor Whooves fan -videos . I had heard of the show, but never had much interest in watching it until spoilers in brony-made material started flying fast and thick. Ended up binging on the new series (9th-11th Doctors) trying to catch up before the 50th Anniversary Special released.
I have lost a bit of interest too, though, with the rather large break between the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors. Also, going from the youngest actor to portray the Doctor to the oldest is quite a leap...I hope the new guy does well, and that he is given good material to work from.
Now that I am almost completely off-topic, have a bonus video: Colgate is the TARDIS.

Yeah....I look back on that and cringe, I coulda done so much better.
Anyway, I'm not entirely sure why you have a bug up your butt about ponies, other than you probably being a teenage, but even then most of the teens I know are accepting of Pony stuff...but either way suggesting Bison remove a heart like Kano, is missing the point of bison. What if the pie was poison?

Okay, I was able to ignore pony stuff, until I saw crossovers of ponies and things I enjoy. So I don't really HATE any of the ponies except for Vinyl because he's a disgrace to Disk Jockeying. In MY opinion. I even found that song Discord to be quite enjoyable, barely tolerable. It was well made, had a unique tune in combination with good lyrics.

Vinyl is a girl. Not really a disgrace to DJing, you're just taking being a DJ too seriously (not saying it shouldn't be respected just that....if there can't be a cartoon pony that DJs cause its a career that needs respect, maybe you should tone down your ambition there.)
And you being able to ignore pony stuff until you saw things you liked in pony art reminded me of an Anthony Jesilnik joke: "After a show a woman came up to me and said "Anthony, I loved your show, and I'm so glad you didn't do any lesbian jokes cause then i'd be offended" I then said 'Next show I do I'll be sure to tell lots of lesbian jokes'. Cause you're a hypocrite"
You gotta understand, I'm not someone that hates anything I include ponies with. In fact its the opposite, why else would I do it? Why would I parody something I hate? I know more about what I love, and making jokes about it is a way to show off that love.
To quote Neil Gaiman "We don't parody things that are inert, we parody things that have life, there's no point to parodying something that doesn't matter to you."
which is exatctly why I don't like comedy that just says "I hate this" then says "this is stupid, all this is, is that, and that is dumb" Just look at the humor in the GTA series. All it does is address society is stupid, and that's it. Just hatred and hate. People identify with that cause they hate things. Now don't get me wrong, you can do that stuff right. Look at southpark. But they're not doing it just out of hatred, they're doing it to get a point across, there's something else going on they want to say. Not just "society dumb". Ugh, I wokeup an hour ago so my arguments and words aren't that well crafted.

Well the only way I can convince them that those two casshern things are god awful would be to make my own. Do it how I see it. And just to be sure I was on the right track for the story, I even watched the original cartoon. There's so many things you could do with the stuff in that cartoon, so many stories to make, but one douche made one movie and based a cetntral theme of the movie on ONE throw away non essential filler episode. Oh yeah that part where Luna was motivated to help stop the robots doesn't need to be in there, gets in the way of her doing jack shit, then bitching that doing soemthing is bad cause it hurts the crazed mutants who KILLED HER FATHER. Literally, her father is this scientist who makes super awesome armor, the badguys need better amrmor on their robots, he resists ONCE, rather than breaking his wrist they kill him. Now the bad guys are also kidnapping all of the other robotics scientists in the country. Movie's reply? TAKING A STAND TO STOP SOMETHING IS BAD CAUSE YOU HURT PEOPLE! That is literally how they say it. Unless some douche is going to kill a bunch of people out of rage, oh then you can fight back, cause then you're a hero, but remember if they aim to kill you and want scientists to build war machines, they have soemone that loves them, unless they're killing innocent peo-OH MY GOD THIS IS ABSOLUTE CRAP! and people say its profound just because its trying to have a nice message. Its so confused about what its saying, its childish, and of one singlular view it won't stop hitting you over the head with, there's no challenge. The original cartoon was more adult cause there was challenge in the story. it wasn't all that good but it was there.

Yeah, I want to do a nostalgia critic/spoony type review on it and casshern sins. I think they are without a doubt to be held up on a pedastle as shining examples of why total creative freedom is not to be given to anyone until they proven they can pull everything together and make it work. As subjective as all this stuff is, making it work essentially means "have they had to work to tell the story they want to tell? Do they challenge themselves? Are they content with what they're doing? Do they question themselves and think what is working and what isn't? Are the taking any measures to make it work? Are they keeping it consistent? If producers force them to have something in it they're against, will they just throw it in there and damage the work they want to be a personal thing? *cough*silent hill movie *cough* Will they take this hurdle forced upon them and use it to improve their story? Will they just put it in there and not calculate how it impacts and changes the story? Are they using effects because they can, or do they use it to do something they couldn't otherwise?
I feel i'm coming off a tad preachy and pretentious.
